Has anybody used a Blue Mikey for ipods? They've just come out with a new version.

Looks pretty good, especially if it stays at $80.

That's what I use to get nature sounds for my music... they rip! I don't have to resort to use sample loops anymore since I bought it... I can just go out in the woods or to the sound or anything. I keep it in my glove compartment to catch some cool ambient stuff from time to time. Works great!

I have the latest video Nano, and I don't think any apps can be loaded onto it.
But 16/44 is still decent for something as portable as this would be.
If the iPhone audio apps really improve, that might just prod me to get one, even though my Nokia still satisfies my basic phone needs.

Yeah but for what I have seen, they take great video on the run! My iPhone's video isn't really all that great unless there is a huge amount of light.nick danger wrote:I have the latest video Nano, and I don't think any apps can be loaded onto it.

Re: Blue Mikey
I'm hoping that with a mikey I can record stereo audio with the video, but I haven't found any info on it.
And when I record audio only with the internal mic, the default that gets imported into iTunes is an AAC file at 128 kpbs. Will it give an option of formats when it detects the external mic?

It records whatever your app records @... so take it from there.nick danger wrote:I'm hoping that with a mikey I can record stereo audio with the video, but I haven't found any info on it.
