Go Frankmax!
Not enough that he is a Grammy nominated composer, now the RMALA is also announcing Frank's CD party on Jan 11 with a webcast! So no excuses, EVERYONE can see and hear him.
I know, this should be in some other area, but I don't want anyone to miss this opportunity. Great lineup of musicians and "our own" Frankmax doing what he does best - making music!
Hope to be there Frank. Been too long.

Re: Go Frankmax!
Hey, thanks you guys! What a nice surprise- I planted a shameless plug for the gig on the Off-Topic section of the board. It should be a fun night and if you can drop by, please make sure to come and say hello! I'm truly blessed to have such an awesome group of musicians playing my charts.
BTW- the whole CD was mixed in DP- take that, you guys on Gearsl*tz who say you can't mix in DP!!
All the best,
-Frank

Re: Go Frankmax!
By the way, I TOTALLY advise anyone who likes jazz to go to Frankymax's site and listen to some tracks. He's not just any ol' sax player. Great stuff, Frank, and it makes me happy that people are forging ahead with such great jazz writing. Maybe the glory days of jazz aren't behind us, but ahead of us.

Re: Go Frankmax!
Bravo!!! Standing ovation here.
Congratulations, Frank!!! It sounded great!!! I absolutely love those arrangements you wrote. I'm in awe. Wow!!!
I hope you do do another album of folk tunes like that. It's such a great idea and you sure pulled it off. It's just wonderful.
The webcast sounded and looked great. Really 1st class. The best webcast I've ever heard. Really!!!
What a band! Whew!!!
Be very proud.
Fantastic!!!
Do you think I've used enough exclamation marks? Well, I haven't. Here's some more.

Re: Go Frankmax!
Thanks for all the exclamation points, Wurli! We really had a fun time last night (until I had to pack up all those horns) and I'm thrilled to hear the webcast looked and sounded good. The guy who ran the webcast used to work at Wally Heider recording in L.A. and I had several people email me that the sound and video were really good for the webcast, which was great to hear. That was a first-time thing for me. Thanks again for your support, fellow MOTUnation-ers! I think I'll be posting some clips on youtube in a few weeks for those of you who missed the webcast.
Best,
-Frank
