No Control Surface option ???? [RESOLVED]

In DP6, when I go to > SETUP > CONTROL SURFACE> then my option to ADD (the + symbol)

I have no options ? I do see my Control Surface folder in the Applications area, so why dont I have the option to sync my DIGITAL MIXER, Im confused. Need a bit of help.

Which mixer are you using, and which control surface protocol are you hoping to use (HUI, Mackie Control, etc.)?

Mixer I am using: DM24 via MIDI, I would like to use HUI mode

The mixer allows me to set in OPEN MODE, so when I hit play in DP6, the FRAMES 00:00:00:00 begin to move simultaneously, but...

If I press PLAY on the DM24, set SYNC in DP6 to MIDI Ch 6 (which it is on) and I go to Control Surface and try to add (+) Nothing comes up to even add????

I've checked the settings in the DP6 and it's all there

Sorry, this is all connected via the MOTU 128 EXPRESS (USB) 8x8

DM-24 I/O to EXPRESS 128 channels 6 I/O and back into the DM24

Do you see HUI.bundle, or any other plug-ins, in /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/MOTU Control Surface?

Yes, I do, I see: CueMixMackieSurfaces.bundle, HUI.bundle & MackieControl.bundle

To be clear, when you open Setup menu > Control Surface Setup and press the "+" button, you see a Driver menu appear, correct? And that Driver menu is empty when you click on it?

When I click on the (+) button, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING COMES UP,

I know what you are talking about, I can see it in my manual, but NOTHING COMES UP, to where I can put (HUI-1-8) and so forth and so forth

That's my dilemma

Weird. Something funky is definitely going on. I'd try to get on the phone with MOTU.

I've gone over this and over this, removing, re-adding files, shutting down, turning back on, and it's weird, but no love lost.

It's not totally hindering me from being the creative producer that I am, ((but it will nag the hell outta me to try and figure it out))

Carrythebanner----- I want to just thank you for talking with me over this issue.

I got it working, just opened up a new DP session and vwala, it was there. I had been trying a DP set up that I use with my clients. I kept trying the same one over and over, so... I said, open up a NEW one, and BAM. My DM-24 now can control DP6 via: PLAY, STOP, FF, RW and REC.

And somehow when I went BACK to my client DP set up, THEN the icon for Control Surface was there miraculously ?????

But it's working now, and thank you for discussing this with me, I stayed on my brain and I didn't give up, (rather didn't want to stop till I got it) I knew it was possible, just couldn't figure it out- at the moment.
