So sorry.dave pine wrote:well, i know , you know what you're talking about, but your directions aren't exactly clear to us slightly less geeky folk on exactly how to do this
1. Right click DP app, show package contents.
2. Navigate to Contents/Resources/English.lproj
3. Open the DefaultStyle.xml file
4. Scroll down to the "Default Colors" section
5. Find the parameter you want to change and type in a new number (my guide helps you figure out which one)

i don't see anything about color
and looking at your defaultstyle reference, it looks like this only changes the color of the vu meter readout, not the actual background........right?
and, can you do this with the program open, and see results right away?

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
Open it with TextEdit, it won't look like that. Then scroll down till you see a section labeled "Default Colors".
There are parameters that affect many many different areas. WindowbackgroundColor, for instance. Just go through the guide.

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
i seem to be able to change the color of everything but the main background color of the meter bridge, i'm thinking it can't be done......this way.

WindowBackgroundColor is the one you want. Unfortunately it affects a lot of areas you may *not* want changed.dave pine wrote:i seem to be able to change the color of everything but the main background color of the meter bridge, i'm thinking it can't be done......this way.

Wow. Well I guess the cat's out of the bag. Since iPerformer isn't afraid, I shouldn't be either. I'm going to get a site set up with a nice big PayPal donation button.

I gotta say out of all the mods I've done, I think Tempered has hit the mark. It's so neutral in so many ways that my eyes aren't struggling at all. I was stuck on Gold and Jade for a while, but I really am digging living in this one.
The website is coming soon, just gotta become an HTML nerd now...as if I'm not enough of a nerd already.

I keep Gold, Jade and Tempered on my dock and I agree. In a dream world Motu will let use switch between them in real time or better yet, allow use to use the TO from Gold and the MIDI from Tempered and the Mixer from Jade etc...amplidood wrote:I gotta say out of all the mods I've done, I think Tempered has hit the mark. Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
I forgot to make a duplicate of my original 7.02 and replaced it's skin with "tempered".
When I open "tempered" it defaults to another skin. Is there a way to copy the skin of the original 7.02 back so that I can duplicate it and start the process all over again? I hope it's clear what I'm asking.
Thanks

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
Thanks so much for the tip on RapidWeaver, bdr. I didn't want to get into anything as complex as iPerformer's site, and this will allow me to do that and still have something that looks good.
