SAC supported in DP 7?
Does DP7 still install the SAC DP Driver in the Audio>Plug-Ins>MOTU>Control Surfaces folder? Anyone successfully using a Radikal SAC-2.2 with DP 7?
Thanks,
Gary
Thanks,
Gary

Re: SAC supported in DP 7?
Can anyone help me get my radikal sac 2.2 working in DP 7.22 on an intel mac.
I recently upgraded my mac from a quad g5 running osx 10.5, to an intel based 8core 3ghz mac. Whoo hooo, yah for me except for the fact that I can't get my sac 2.2 to work.
I got it to with my macbook when I first loaded it with dp7, and my 828mkIII, but I have not tried it since I did the upgrade to 7.22. I know it won't work via usb, only thru MIDI. But I can't even get it to do that on the macpro?
I think I read that some of you were able to get it to work. Been racking my brains for about 2 weeks and can't remember how I got it to work via MIDI.
I can see it spitting out MIDI info to the input of my mtp a/v but that's as fas as it goes.
If I can dig myself out tomorrow, from the snow storm we just got today here in nj, going to bring my mobile rack to the studio and hook that up to the sac as well as the laptop to the sac and see if it work that way.
I'm stumped.
I've been a Motu user since 1991 and I'm racking my brain.
Thanks everyone!
Steve

All I can tell you is mine works as well under MIDI on my Mac Pro/ 10.5.8 with 7.22 as it did with version 6 on my G5 under the same OS. Occasionally I have to reset my Audio/MIDI setup, but it does work.

At the bottom of this page, you will find the latest drivers for this control surface: there are running Leopard and even Snow Leopard.

Operates only in MIDI-mode under Leopard.

Re: SAC supported in DP 7?
Yeah, I had it working fine on my quad g5 with os10.5.5 but it's not playing well in the sand box with the intel 8core & os10.6.
Yup, that's the driver I already installed. I did that and the most current Mtp av driver & no luck.
The sac seems the info from the screen & will follow if I use the mouse, but if i move a sac fader, the MIDI info does not get back to the software. I'm not getting that fader "snapping" to attention thing so you know it's talking.
I'm thinking it's not a DP problem couse PT9 does some similar weird behavior. I'm perplexed. Tried to do the sac flash update, even though it's the current firmware, but it says it doesn't see the controller. It's got to be a MIDI device/communication error.
Gonna have to hook up my 828mk3 or either 8pre & try those MIDI ports. I know all the MIDI cable & USB cables work for I've swapped them all out for cables that are working w/other devices.
Hmmm?
Thanks gents! I'll give you some feedback once I dig myself out of this few feet of snow!
San Fran is looking really nice right now, lol!

Pretty nice day yesterday- I have folks back in NY so I've been seeing lots of pics of the storm!
I do see this exact behavior from time to time. Usually, either resetting the Control Surface Setup in DP or restarting the computer will clear it up for me.
