DP7 Blank Installer Disk

Post by vbassguy »

I purchased DP7 and finally had a chance to install today. The installer disk is either void of data or my G5 is telling me it is a blank disk. Any ideas? Thanks

I'd check with tech support.

Yes. MOTU will replace the disk. Problem is that this is a long holiday weekend. I'm not sure if they'll be in on Monday or if they're on hiatus until the 4th.

Yep... The disk is in fact blank. Sent an e-mail (tech link). I'm not expecting to hear from them until after the holiday's. Thank you for responding and Happy Holiday's to all. :)

I had a bad install disc for version 6. They got a replacement out to me right away, but it wasn't the holidays. But they are fast. Sorry for your woes....

I've had that happen a few times with East West stuff. Either missing discs or damaged or blank ones. Great company but a bit sloppy with that kinda thing once or twice in my experience but quickly replace. Good luck.

hmmm...
funny this. I have had two corrupted (not blank) disks from MOTU. One was the update to 6, the other one was the update to 5. I thought it was just my bad luck.
Maybe they have a faulty duplicator or something?
That can't be right tho - I would assume that they would have someone duplicate these things for them.
Sorry to hear of your travails.
In my case the local distributor rushed out replacements both times, so hopefully you haven't been too inconvenienced.
Cheers,
BK

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.
