HI after trying everything that my brain could imagine , i found one working setup for my pc laptop with the ultralite (not mk3).
I have a Acer extensa 5620z , dual core 1700 4 gb ram .
the ultralite used to give me the crakling thing , noise and all kind of strange things.
first i read about the firewire port compatibility, so y bougth another firewire port, but nothing changes..
my solution was to instal the MIDI drivers of the 64fw-3.6.8.1394 version
and the audio drivers of the 64fw-3.6.8.1414 version.
i've tryed with all os - xp, vista , win7.
now im using vista ultimate 64. its the only one that dont gives me crakling problems.
i hope to help someone.

Re: I FOUND ONE SOLUTION FOR ULTRALITE DRIVERS PROBLEMS !
Hi
How do you just install just MIDI drivers from the installer package? I don't see any options that allow a selective install.
Thanks.

there is no option to install it. I just did it in the device manager. motu, properties , and then observing the driver name.
first install one version , copy the driver that you want( MIDI or audio) to another folder, uninstall the driver.
i dont remember exactli but probably you need to restart win a cuple of times douring this proces..
install the other version that you want and uninstall just the MIDI or audio driver from the device manager as well. the actualize the controler using the driver that you have copy in the begining.
crakling Peace.....
