Having a problem editing tracks from Sonar 8.0 using SoundForge 9.0. The MOTU is a PCI424 and 24i/o. Windows XP SP3.
Tracks are recorded at 96k in Sonar. Selecting a track and editing with Soundforge from Sonar results in an error message saying SF cannot change ASIO configuration because another app (Sonar) is using it.
Clicking through that message a few times allows it to come up, but from what I can tell, SF is defaulting to 44.1/16 and is trying to set the ASIO driver to that sample/bit rate.
Going into the SF audio options, advanced (AKA ASIO Config). It's set to 44.1. I can change it to 96, but when I hit OK, it goes right back to 44.1.
When I go to ASIO config from the Start Menu, it's set to 96/24, and if I load SoundForge without Sonar, I can make the ASIO change there (but it starts with 44.1/16).
I haven't been able to discover any setting that fixes this behavior in either SoundForge or Sonar. Any ideas?
SoundForge Default ASIO 44.1?

Re: SoundForge Default ASIO 44.1?
In Sonar, under Options/Audio/Advanced "Share Drivers With Other Programs" What is that set to? Try switching it to see if that helps.
I use Sonar with Sound Forge in a MOTU PCI424 setup with no probs. Must be something set up conflicting somewhere.
