Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
Hmm
I think I like gold variation and gold 1.04 better than gold 2.
I am not sure what all the little tweeks in 2 add up to, I am sure they are really nice.
But the general appearance of gold 1.04 and "variation" are a bit nicer, unless I'm missing something?
Am I missing something?
Just got DP7 and in too big a project to mess around and install yet so i can only go by these graphics.

Try 'em all! I liked the idea of the gold variation at first, for the "photo realism" concept. I just noticed that my eyes got seriously worn out really really fast.toodamnhip wrote:Hmm... I think I like gold variation and gold 1.04 better than gold 2.

The main difference between the completes and the earlier versions is the color running throughout the entire mod. The older ones didn't mess with a few things, which might work for some people. All subjective, right?
Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
Okay James. I think the combo of our ideas is working. I'm getting a better understanding of color contrasts to draw the eye in different ways, which I didn't have the first time I tried this. I think that's what made it seem like a bad idea before.

Hey James,
This might be a bad precedent, but, I was thinking-"what if ampliddod set up a pay pal for 1$ for every version a person uses, all at the discretion and honor/desire of the end user of course?
I know you don;t want this place to become a capitalist smorgasbord, wherein people are profiteering off of our little DP nirvana, but it is obvious this guy has worked from his heart and he could easily be supported for not only the actual work he is doing, but the WAY he is doing it, wherein he listens to all of our comments and continually improves the product, on behalf of all of us!!
Food for thought....
Dave

I suggest to anyone who uses the mods to join the user list so James doesn't have to deal with any of those kinds of details on the board. Mail me at amplidood@gmail.com.
So this looks kinda fun, right?

You really did a Trim mod!!??!? Now you're really and truly the man. I want to start using that for sure. It looks SOOOOOO much nicer than the original. It's beautiful.

Something wrong here. The Trim plug doesn't show up in Safari, just the Effects Window. I didn't know what Zed was getting all excited about (except that right now, it's NOT raining in Vancouver) until I looked at it in Firefox.zed wrote:No friggin' way!!!amplidood wrote:So this looks kinda fun, right?

That's strange. I'm seeing it okay in Safari. I wonder why you're not?bayswater wrote:Something wrong here. The Trim plug doesn't show up in Safari, just the Effects Window. Ah yes... some sunshine in Vancouver today. I actually played some guitar outside on my deck. It was very pleasant indeed. Now I'm off to bed so that I can start all over again at midnight...

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
One thing about the trim plug that has always bothered me. The graph for the stereo pans makes NO SENSE. The graph moves exactly opposite of what makes sense in the stereo field. I have never understood this.
Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
Same here. Makes no sense to me. Don't suppose you can change that?amplidood wrote:One thing about the trim plug that has always bothered me. The graph for the stereo pans makes NO SENSE. The graph moves exactly opposite of what makes sense in the stereo field. I have never understood this.

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
I don't really know unix coding or maybe I could. Disassembling MOTU's code is probably too sticky a ground to wade into, anyway. I finally figured out that the graph represents level and not position. Very strange desicision.bayswater wrote:Same here. Makes no sense to me. Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
No worries, it wasn't a serious suggestion. We don't want to be pushing this envelop that far. Thanks for the interpretation of the graph.amplidood wrote:I don't really know unix coding or maybe I could. Disassembling MOTU's code is probably too sticky a ground to wade into, anyway.
