I'm pretty sure that's not possible since all we can really do is modify existing graphics and whatever parameters we have access to in XML files.
So it should be possible! :)

Substitute "solo" with S, and draw the buttons accordingly with the S label.

I'll let Amplidood answer this one since there's technical reasons that I can't explain off hand. Certain things can't be accessed I think.

The gold 104 looks a bit too yellow-green on bg and faders and not as gold on my monitor. Anyone else?

The thing about all the requests is this... you can't please everyone with one version of a GUI mod. ;)

That being said, there are certain aspects of how DP works that I really can't and don't want to get into changing. Things like, what happens when you click in a specific area. I can't put controls or graphics wherever I want, I can just change how they look.

Yes... four copies. Make a duplicate of the unmodified DP app, apply a mod. Rename it "Digital Performer 7.01 Gold" for example. Make another copy of DP, apply a different mod, rename that. DP app is only about 128MB. Simply launch the version you wish to use.
Ahhhhhhhh... I hadn't actually caught on to that. That's brilliant. I was hesitating to try some of these mods, but now I think I'll try several! Gold does seem like it would be fun to work with... and Clarity seems nice too. Plus I can then easily go back to my own mod, which I like.

The centered buttons do look nice. Upper case characters maybe?

I really like that fact that in your mods the non-active faders are translucent. What a great idea!

Wonderful work, Amplidood... and thank you so much for taking the time. I think MOTU should pay you to do this.

Like it a lot. Like the border of the solo/rec buttons as well being the same color when activated. Nice indeed. Like you said though, it's all so subjective and you can't please everyone. Personally, I'd like a version of Clarity with a lighter mixing board, more like the DP one, and the background of the Sequence Editor window the original lighter color too I think.

I guess my main beef with the stock GUI was more with the clutter and less with the brightness. Still of course... great work!

What a lovely improvement to the knobs. You're getting better and better at this...

I know I already gave you some compliments earlier today, and so I'll refrain from having to provide feedback with every little development... but I'm suddenly finding myself very excited about these mods. Now this *feels* like a DP7. ;-)
