For better or worse, you can usually rely on me to have the latest software revision of anything. Pretty much at all times. Foolish, but my consumer OCD gets the best of me, I suppose...

I personally wish MOTU would stop using .01 type numbers when we all know that they won't even get close to a .9 before it goes to 8.
It's just kinda silly.
It'll be 7.01 and then 7.02 and then maybe 7.03 and then it'll be LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, INTRODUCING DP8!!!
Ugh. I'm a DP diehard; can we just move up a decimal with each revision, please? That's my layman's take on the matter. Got Logic, Live, and Pro Tools (all latest versions) and I keep returning to DP, 'cause it's what I know best.

DP 7.01 with Snow Leopard 10.6.1
I have not had the chance to give 7.01 a thorough going over, but I did a pretty thorough assessment of DP7.0 before that, and it was fabulous. My only quits have been with 7.01, and they've been while mucking about with presets in AU plugins and instruments. That's all.

I have 7 but I don't use any of the newer features that it has so I'm in 5.13.
I like 5.13 and I'd just like an optimized MAS engine once that arrives because of the 64 bit port. 64 bit can achieve the higher sample rate projects (that call for higher SR's) with better efficiency so that will be a nice change.

I don't agree with that. A .01 version is a good way to indicate the update is mainly minor improvements. And MOTU has been good at introducing new features in .1 releases. As far as I know DP6 is the only version of DP that never made it to .1... I feel pretty sure we'll se a DP7.1 adding some new stuff for free since many feel DP7 should really have been 6.1 or 6.5... Unless they are taking on the Apple approach. Apple these days seem to never add any new functions until going to a new version in any of their software...
