I will look into this. We do have 4GB chips but Apple original specs for the Quad Core based machine was 8GB. 2GB chip per socket. The 8-Core machines can use the 4GB chips for a max of 32GB.

I will check again.

Thanks for following up on this. So are they going to update their website to show that the single quad core can handle 16 gig? As I mentioned in another post here, this conflicting info could really screw-up someone who's not really sharp on this.

Sounded to me that they were going to update the info. I couldn't tell you when that will happen, though.
