MOTU 896HD Glitches

Post by slyfly »

Hello there,

I'm all the way from South Africa.
I've been having problems with my Motu for ages now.

I was running:
Intel Pentinum 4 CPU 3.60GHz 3.60GHz
4 gigs of ram
Windows XP
Cubase 4

I then upgraded my PC, due to the glitching etc. to:
Inter (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU
920 @ 2.67GHz 2.79GHz
6 gigs of ram
Vista 64bit SP1
Cubase 4

These is the occasional glicthes and jumping in Cubase and even normal playback in Windows Media player there is a glitching noise every once in awhile.

What could the problem be?

Thank you,
Justin

Read this thread in its entirety and try using a the third-party AVT drivers 1394/firewire drivers.

The first post of that thread for an overview of the problem you are most likely suffering from.
