WaveRT Drivers not working on Windows7 x86 RTM

Post by theexis »

Hi,

I installed a clean Windows7 Professional 32bit machine today, and took the latest drivers from MOTU downloads (3.6.8.1414). Installation completed successfully, and ASIO works fine through SoundForge8, but Wave doesn't. ("No Audio Devices Are Installed" shows in the Sound->Playback control panel). A few notes on what I've tried/observations:

- Clicked on "Show disabled Devices" in the sound panel control: still nothing listed

- Launched MOTU Audio applet - "User Stereo Pairs for Windows Audio" and "User WaveRT for Windows Audio" are both turned on

- In Device Manager, 3 items are listed under Sound, video and game controllers: Motu Audio, Motu Audio MIDI and Motu Audio Wave. All have correct driver version and appear enabled

- Deleted devices and rebooted: devices auto-detected and re-installed. No improvement in WaveRT story.

- Interestingly the techlink article about Windows7 says you need 3.6.8.1416, and this is the version available for 64 bit windows, but the driver date is the same so I assume 3.6.8.1414 should work?

Any suggestions?
