Mike: there's an app called BatChmod which I think allows changing folder permissions en masse:

I learned about this app at the Audio Ease forums when I had problems installing a recent Altiverb update.

And I agree, it seems to be a Mac OS problem.

No problems here - so far - saving presets with Nomad plugs on my MacBook Pro running 10.6.1, but haven't tried it on my G5 yet.

Thanks Bob, I'll look at that. I may have used it a while back. I suspect someone over at Apple knows what is happening and why, but my G5 is too far out of warranty to call 'em. LOL.

Hey Bernie, thanks so much for posting here. I also have the preset problem and I'm in 10.5.8 on a PPC. I figured out that it was a folder permissions problem and went in and started to change the permissions. That is working but for once, having so many plugs, with their nested folders in the App Support library is a little bit of a PITA. The OS won't let a user select all folders and GET INFO and change the permissions en masse if the permissions are different - so it's a one by one process. But I'll get over it.

THis has also been a problem in other VIs as well so I suspect it is the OS and not the installer to blame.
When you get info on a file/folder and change the permissions, you have the option to "apply to enclosed items" if you look in the gear menu to the left of the lock icon. This would propagate the top level permissions down to enclosed items. May be helpful

Hi All,

Just found this incredible thread about our "Producer Pack" promotion... I've been quite present at KVR, Gearslutz and a few other boards but promise I'll drop by here as well to bring as much support as I can...

Let me thank all of you for the interest and the fantastic testimonials I read over the 12 pages of this thread. That sure did contribute in making this promotion very successful !

As you may not know, the Nomad "Producer Pack" is an exclusive offer that was and will only be sold at DontCrack and any future upgrade will be FREE of charge for previous owners. That is part of the deal we negociated with our cool partner Nomad Factory.

If any of you have questions about the Producer Pack or anything else concerning DontCrack, please let me know. I'll be happy to answer these as quickly as possible.

Again thanks to all of you at Motunation for the great feedback !!!

All the best - Peter

Crack Expert,

Any reason half of the Blue Dynamics Pack was left out of this particular deal? (DeEsser, Gate / Expander, Limiter)

Not that I do not graciously tip my hat to you providing this wonderful deal, mind you. :)

I did get a happy tinge when I saw the DeEsser in the PDF manual, then realized it was not included in this package deal.

Thanks for a great service!

Whoa! The DeEsser isn't part of the deal? Nor the Stereo Imager? :?

That made me realize that if they were missing, probably others were missing as well. So, I did a quick check, and found out that several units that were represented in the manual download are not a part of the Producer Pack; among them, the BT DeEsser and the BT Stereo Imager, and BT Valve Driver and other units that I thought were included, and which made me excited to be able to leave behind the Waves plugins that I normally use. I guess there's nobody to blame but myself for not looking more carefully at what was actually included, but I was under the impression that the manuals covered the included items. I should have looked more carefully. When looking through the manuals, I saw the Stereo Imager, DeEsser, and a few others that really excited me. When I was trying out the actual plugins, I was just going down the list, and figured I'd get to those later. Now I realize they aren't there, and I have to admit that I'm disappointed. But they were not in the actual list, either, and if I'd corroborated the list with what's in those manuals, I would have realized they were not there. My bad!

That's not to say it wasn't a great deal, or that I would not buy the plugins knowing what I know now. $249 is an amazing price for the ones included, and I am thrilled to have them. I guess what is disappointing is to learn that I'm still going to have to keep up my Waves Platinum bundle for the foreseeable future, until I can get the rest of those plugins (or some others) at a ridiculously low price. I do not like supporting Waves.

But that's ok. You guys at Don'tCrack and Nomad Factory did nothing wrong, and I hold only myself responsible for getting my expectations a little higher than the offer actually included. But the offer was already stratospheric in value; to have gotten ALL that stuff would have been shooting the moon. Still, it's a moon flight I'd like to have been on. Maybe some day...

Meanwhile, I'm still as thrilled with the ones that ARE there as I was when I first tried them. They are good plugins. Nomad Factory has become a household word in my studio.

Indeed, that is also why I posted my comment. I was excited to have an alternative to the RDesser, as I use that one all the time.

BTW, still putting these plugs through their paces on mixes for this week and the next, but so far I am getting some favorable results. The fact that these presets are a cut above any other companies is a big plus. Most of them are right in the ballpark for starting points, where the majority of other plug's are not.

Good purchase so far for me!
