DP7 - Supports native versions of RTAS plugins?
I'm not yet a DP user, but am considering it. The MOTU site says DP7 runs RTAS plugins -- any RTAS plugin that runs in Pro Tools will work in DP7, but I'm not sure if they are referring to TDM versions of plugins, or Pro Tools HD or Pro Tools generally. I have the native version of the McDSP RTAS plugins and would be interested in DP7 if it could use those plugins. Will they work in DP7?

Re: DP7 - Supports native versions of RTAS plugins?
This is only true if you can run DP in DAE mode. So it depends which version of Pro Tools you have.
quote from MOTU website:
Digital Performer operates as a complete audio sequencer front end for Pro Tools | HD and Accel systems with award-winning features and industry-leading DAE support.
Features include robust AAF session interchange, complete support for TDM, RTAS and AudioSuite plug-ins, sample-accurate latency compensation, automatic DAE voice allocation, QuickPunch and much more.
This is not true if you have Pro Tools LE and associated hardware. DP in its native MAS mode only runs MAS and Audio Units plugins, but not RTAS.
Hope that helps
kind regards
Stephen
