UVI Workstation 1.1 posted w/ new features

Post by carrythebanner »

(A little OT, but since MOTU ships UVI Workstation installer discs with DP I think it's fair game for the DP forum.)

UVI Workstation 1.1 update is available, free download:
http://www.uvisoundsource.com/uvi-works ... 4177764045
• Complete Arpeggiator
• Search feature in Browser for UVI Sounds
• Full compatibility with 64 bits PC computers
• Tap Tempo
• WASAPI support in Windows StandAlone version(only available on Vista and Windows 7)
• Multi prev/next button
• Append Multi
So far I've found the append multi and search features to be pretty useful — I'd been hoping to see both for some time now in all of the UVI-based plug-ins.

UVI is no replacement for Mach Five. It may have a smaller foot print as it doesn't have the mixer and other sound design extras.

I've used UVI at various times and it works great with libraries for Mach Five, MSI, and the 'ole PlugSound Pro and associated Sound Cards.

Sometimes I just want a handful of sounds which are easily set up in UVI.
