VALID opinions can be had on both sides of the issue. Much as anybody has a right to express their opinion, others have a right to disagree.

I agree with you. But I take a little offense at those who disagree and in their response refer the people on the other side of the issue as "complainers" and "whiners". The name calling is unnecessary.James Steele wrote:VALID opinions can be had on both sides of the issue. Much as anybody has a right to express their opinion, others have a right to disagree.

Re: DP 7 (It's Spelled "BOO!")
In researching (and hand wringing) over maybe taking the $29 plunge to upgrade to Snow Leopard, I discovered the very disturbing fact that PPC processors are no longer being supported with this upgrade. Ye gods.
I'll likely do the upgrade myself, though I am very concerned about losing plugs and VIs, especially considering the incredibly expensive and Herculean task of having to get everything to UB versions for Tiger and DP's 5 & 6 on my MacBook. Then, the quaint $29 price tag doesn't seem so quaint, but I'd love to have a better OS and would kill for a stable DP 6.02 (not to mention, having a nice future home for DP 7).

I'll have to scroll back and find where there's been name-calling. Stick and stones...zed wrote:I agree with you. Re: DP 7 (It's Spelled "BOO!")
I think I was mostly reacting to a few of the comments in the "DP 7 Officially Announced!!!!" thread that just kind of rubbed me the wrong way... but I was probably being overly sensitive and shouldn't be taking things personally. There ain't no problem here.James Steele wrote:I'll have to scroll back and find where there's been name-calling. Stick and stones...

Well early reports coming in look like DP7 is going to be solid. I got mine yesterday but have been feeling pretty bad today with the flu... bad enough not install it until maybe later today.
