The problem with the avatar n the left is that those of us with less that 17 in monitors can't read next to the right. There is no scroll bar
even to allow scrolling to see the full text. I would appreciate the avatars being put back the way they were before.

Hey! Everything looks awesome!

I love having the avatars back on the left and I love the way the new skin delineates everything, making it all easier to read.

Great job!

Does it help to use COMMAND-MINUS to shrink the window size, then to use the text-size button at the top of the page (above the MOTUNation header) to make the text larger?

Hey James,

Thanks again for putting the avatars back on the left hand side! I'm really pleased with it, and I'm hoping that most others are in agreement. It really does feel more comfortable through these eyes of mine.

And BTW, changing the name "Motunation" was a good idea on your part. Now that we are accustomed to the name change, I do think that this name is more fitting and just seems right.

And on another note... the other day, I got some *much needed* advice to help save a corrupt DP project. Was so happy to resolve my issue. This is such a great community and a useful resource. So thank you.

It's great to be here! :-)

I wish there were a window setting that allowed broad graphics to be seen. They just get cut off on the right side, with no way to scroll over. Of course, you can drag them to the finder, or for that matter, just drag them to the URL bar and they'll open in their own window. We can edit our pictures to be narrow enough to fit, but there are a lot of graphics scattered throughout places like the tips sheet that may get cut off in the new format. Not a deal-breaker; just a minor annoyance.

Guys, I *do* have a global setting for the theme width in pixels. I'll toy with it a bit. I just set it to 1000 pixels just now. My concern is what native resolution most users have and making sure that if you have a 12" iBook for exampe at 1024 x 768 you can still *size down* the board and it works properly.

It may also be that the maximum avatar width of 200 pixels that I allow is "squeezing" the message area since I moved them back to the left side. It maybe a a good idea to go back to smaller avatars. I liked the big ones when I'm using a larger monitor, but it may be too much.

Keep in mind too, and I'm not talking about the Tips and Tricks thread, but I think in other threads some users have taken for granted the variable width of the old theme and assumed many had widescreen monitors and have posted some extraordinarily wide images on occasion. There's not much I think I can do to accommodate that unless perhaps I can go into the template files and replace a set pixel variable with a percentage.

FWIW, I have opted to not show avatars at all and I don't miss them one bit. In fact, it puts everyone on a level playing field! The space remains unused where the avatar was, but not a big deal.

I do find myself making text bigger at every visit. Instinctively, I am using the cmd +/- (thanks Shooshie!) as the text size buttons don't seem to stick.
