just wanted to point out...

Post by HLStudios »

as ive let many people know a couple of weeks back (actually about a month or so) my PowerMac G5 went dead on me...apparently some problem with the power supply...
Just about a week back i had it returned (fixed) along with OSX Leopard installed..obviously i had to do a re-installation of DP (and 3rd party plugs) and to be honest i have been surprised to see how smooth DP runs on Leopard... All the problems i used to have with crashing and that BTD problem are just gone...obviously i'm still on PPC but i have to say DP has never run so smooth and stable..it just definetly feels like that.. i havent had a single crash...i have to say it...it FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK!!!!

.

So then you definitely attribute this to the fresh reinstall of everything, correct?

My laptop is driving me nuts, slow as a snail, so I might just do the same like you.... a fresh instal.

Good to have you back! :)

FM make sure you back that thing up.
I seen the slow as a snail symptom a few times and its always led to something more serious.

i guess you could attibute some of it to the fresh install..everything just seems to be much more responsive than before...it could also be that my G5 could not have been working at its full potential due to a faulty power supply...anyway still i couldn't be more satisfied with my setup right now...
