Hi:
I really need some help on this.
I understand that my MOTU 2408mk3 has a Cue Mix console, and it has some plug ins.
So, how can I get those plug ins?
From which DP version it can works?
Can I use those plug ins on DP? from which version?
A couple of months ago I saw a nice ad on SOS magazine advertising some VERY nice MOTU plugs (among them was some kind of spectral analyzer), and I seem to remember it said they were free for certain MOTU hardware users... is this so?
Could they be used in DP?
Thanks!

I also tried to get these to work. The best I could come up with was there was a large amount of information missing from the site, specifically about what hardware or software you need to own in order to get them to work, and how they figure into a setup that utilizes other MOTU products, such as DP, where it seems the applications would be most useful.
It took forever to find in the download, and since I wasn't ever able to get them to work, I wondered if I had even downloaded the correct thing. It seemed like the tools would be useful, but I just got frustrated and gave up.

The effects definitely cannot be used in DP. They are only for the CueMix application, and only for MOTU interfaces which have onboard DSP for the effects. For example, the 896 mk3 has the effects available, but not my 896 HD.
I don't know if there is a list of devices which will work with the CueMix FX stuff.
828mk3, 896mk3, UltraLite mk3, and Traveler mk3 all have integrated effects processing. CueMix FX for these interfaces features spectral analysis and phase analysis tools.
These features are not available for older MOTU FireWire, USB, or PCI interfaces.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.

So that means I'm SOL, I suppose... I have the 2408 MK3
They looked really nice...
But there's no newer corresponding model for my interface, correct? I can't believe it's already "old"

I will say the new CueMix FX software has at least one nice feature that works on my 828mkII: stereo input grouping, which is a godsend for handling external synth modules. Might work for the 2408, too, FM.
Its about time for MOTU to release an updated PCIe card-based interface series.

Totally agreed.
Wouldn't it be nice if they bundled these plugs with DP's next release? A DP version.
What exactly do you mean by "stereo input grouping"? Or how is it different from what we can do in DP?
Thanks.
