I do like the new look, although there are some font size issues that will hopefully be improved as things are tweeked.

Now if only the avatars could be put back on the left side, like they used to be on Unicornation, I would feel comfortable again. I've still never gotten used to that switch up.

It's possible to switch it back to the left side, but it's a global setting. I tried it when installing this theme last night and honestly, it feels better having it on the right side. Maybe I'll set up a poll and see how most people want it.

I was 1 of the people who didn't like the avatar on the right when it was 1st introduced ,now I prefer it.It seems less distracting, read 1st and then you see the avatar.
I also think the site will look cleaner if all users have the same side for avatars,it will look more chaotic if they are every which way.

I got rid of the Google Ads. In a few days, I'm going to make an announcement about this, but I've decided to carry a few banner ads by a particular retailer who is very supportive of this community. They will appear where the old Google ads used to appear. I can't say who it is until they start to appear.

It would be interesting to see how people feel about it, and might be good to give us a few days of it set to the left so that we can make an accurate assessment of which feels better.

The right side still feels minorly cumbersome to me since I view the forum on a full 21" monitor and I find it to be extra exercise on the eyes to look way over there. ;-) But I'm not really complaining.

I do like this new look... it makes quotations stand out, among other things.

It might look a wee bit better if the quotations were done with the smaller text and the fresh posts were with the slightly larger text... or just keeping them both the same size. That is my aesthetic sense of it, but of course it's fine either way.
