I have to confess, I bought them just because it was a great deal. Not that I didn't hear the demos, but who could pass up some good plugs for $16.50 each! I'm sure they'll come in handy. From the little I played with the 670, it sounded really smooth and open.

I also got the Pultec, the Linear Phase EQ, the Opto, and the Brickwall Limiter. As far as I'm concerned, who could use more compressors or EQs? The more options the better, and many of the new plugs coming out are far better than previous generations.

Go for it. I don't think you'll regret it.

I just did this deal this morning. It's an amazing deal. It was a little tedious to get it all downloaded and authorized, but once I figured it out all went well. Just did some initial teasting of the plugs and they all sound pretty cool.

You do get 6 plugs for the price of one so it's kinda easy to make the decision.

I guess I'll reply to this redundant topic, since the title is more obvious that the older one.

I received an email tonight about an additional offer that expires Monday: for $59 you get the shell (for routing multiple effects), the Classic EQ, and the Meters.

Good deal, and too bad I used the Meters in my original freebie list. I'd be tempted otherwise. It's not enough to entice me as is.

I doubt I'd use the routing anyway, as I make limited (no pun intended, in spite of the irony) use of compressors in my work. And now that I'm back to recording more live material, I'm using less EQ since I have better mics now and know how to position them. Mostly just HPF's and LPF's these days.

In other words, very few tracks receive processing, and rarely more than one or two plug-ins per track.

I think the Shell is meant more for using T-RackS 3 as a mastering suite though (where such signal routing of multiple plug-ins is more commonly needed), which I have no intent of doing (nor as a mixing suite). I personally see T-RackS 3 almost exclusively as a tracking suite, and so feel its product name is appropriate. :-)

I just finished installing them and I think they sound pretty sweet. I did the deal twice so I could get all 11 plugs, and I'll give the extra reverb authorization to a friend who's been doing some mixing for me. You get five authorization numbers for each plug; it looks like you can install them on five machines at once, but I haven't tried more than one auth. each for my studio machine.

It was a bit of a hassle to install and authorize them all, but it got easier after I figured out their scheme. The password you use to create your new account is not the same as the password they will email you. I got a bit frustrated until I realized that, 'cause I couldn't login at first. They'll email you a new username and password after you make the initial purchase (unless you already have an account with them of course). It takes a few minutes, and your login & password come after some other emails that come first: (1) order confirmation, (2) receipt, (3) software serial number, and finally (4) your new username & password.

Then with your new username & password, you can login to the User Area to download the plug you just bought, and the free ones too.

The deal's still good through Monday.

It is tedious. I got in the deal last night, and while it is a great deal, anyone who is thinking about getting in on it should be forewarned to allocate a couple of uninterrupted hours in order to select, download, and authorize each plug.
