MOTU PCI424 9-pin and a Soundcraft DC-2020

Post by TKTurbo »

The Soundcraft DC-2020 is an automated board. I would like to use the transport, locate and record-enable functions that are on the console to control AudioDesk/DigitalPerformer/Logic recording software.

Is there a way to get the 9-pin port on the PCI424 card to behave like a Tascam DA-88?

or, should I use a DA-88 (the way the board was originally wired) and add a 2408?

Any help appreciated...

The 9-pin option is actually the Sony Machine Control, which would require a product that is no longer made.....the MOTU DIGITAL TIMEPIECE. The 9-pin on the MOTU Card is for ADAT sync. I'm not sure that the DC2020 resolves to ADAT sync, haven't seen one of those consoles in person.
Thank you,

DC2020 manual says it's supposed to. I do have an ADAT, if adding that to the mix would help.
