So I took the plunge and bought the NI Komplete deal while it was still going and also picked up EZDrummer while I was at it (as well as the free Groove Monkee demos to mess around). I have always been a real drummer or drum loops kind of guy but I'm loving the sound of Battery's more synthetic kits. Also, I love DP's MIDI drum editor, which I'd never bothered with before. Way better for editing interesting drum parts out of loops and 1-off hits. What I can't figure out is:
1. How to best preview loops with Battery? In EZDrummer, you can scroll through and preview quickly. But between DP and Battery, I don't see a quick way of doing thing. I can drag the loop into the tracks window, but that's slow and manual.
2. Relatedly, when I drag a MIDI droove from EZ Drummer into the tracks window for DP (like the demo shows), the drag and drop is weird and slow (I don't have this problem moving audio around) and I get the graphic where it's zooming into the track over and over in all different directions. Eventually it stops and I have the part where it's supposed to be, but I'm thinking I have ticked the wrong setting or something. I've been reading around in the manual but haven't had much luck.
Thanks!

Re: 2 MIDI drum loop questions.
Hello; The same thing happens to me when I drag MIDI drum loop files into DP. Don't know why they jump around, but eventually I get them in the track I want. Some MIDI loops are worse than others. No big deal for me. Have learned to live with it.
Re: 2 MIDI drum loop questions.
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one, but the drag and drop looks so clean in demos that I'm thinking it's either us or DP 6.02 has a glitch that earlier versions don't have.

Re: 2 MIDI drum loop questions.
There is a glitch in 6.02... do a search on here. There were some good threads on this but it was not an issue in previous versions.
You can get around this by opening EZ Player in Toontrack Solo or dragging MIDI to desktop first.
