Latency with an M-Audio duo

I never noticed this until today. Maybe this problem is new. The subject says it all. My Duo's giving me some latency. I've messed with the buffer settings and have it at the smallest size. I think this fixed the problem in the past. I've also toyed with the latency settings in the Duo's control panel, but they seem to do nothing.
