Newbie on DP 6 coming from Logic 8.
So I have the 2 bar count in button pushed, I have a MIDI track record enabled. My tempo is 80 BPM. I click on Record and the 2 bar count in begins. I don't even play anything. No audio tracks, nothing else in the session is playing anything. I do have a large Orchestral Template, but it is mostly all Rewired to a Bidule in the background housing everything. DP only has a few VI's loaded. The MIDI channel I'm doing controls a NI Akoustik Piano.
At beat 1, after the count in, the click disappears for 2 or 3 beats, then comes back in out of time for a beat or two then catches up and clicks away fine.
I do this again, and it is fine on beat one for a whole bar, then disappears again, stumbles, catches up and is fine.
I do this again and notice that AS SOON AS I HIT the record button and the count in click begins, the Playback meter will go all the way to the right (well there's a little black showing at the very right). Eventually, the meter will go back down to zero and THIS is when the click disappears for a few beats.
CPU meter is showing less than half up the scale.
I'm using Core Audio with my Digidesign 192 interface. Buffer size is 512, Host Buffer Multiplier is 1, Work Priority is HIGH. "Virtual Instruments In Real Time" is selected in DP Prefs.

Re: Click disappears
This phenomena only happens when I use the Count in button feature. If I turn that off, and just hit Record, the click starts fine from bar one and never has a problem.
In addition, the Playback meter never pegs. In fact it never moves at all.
Something is geeked on that Count In feature...

Thanks for the link.
I searched "Click disappears" and "Metronome disappears" and got nothing related.
Awaiting an update...

Re: Click disappears
It quite simply is a bug...

Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang
