I have had a Mac Pro 2.66 quad core and a motu 24 i/o for 2 years now since new. The problem is that the mac quite often has to be re-booted 2 or 3 times before it recognizes the pci-e card. When I moved the card to a another slot it booted flawlessly for a week then the problem slowly returned .
I am running 10.5.7 and Motu PCI audio console V. 1.31.
Has anyone else seen this problem and does anyone have a fix for it?
cheers

Isn't the latest driver 1.2.2?

Re: Mac does not recognize PCIe card
I have to say I have had similar problems, and remember finding a couple of similar threads here on motunation. I did the same, tried moving the card around, still kept losing communication as well as not seeing the driver. I'm using 2408's but I'm sure it's the PCI card that's the problem. I turn all the units off for a couple of minutes then on again and that seems to fix it.
Mac 2.8 8-core, 20 GB RAM, Mac 10.9, DP 8, EWQLSO Platinum Play, Mach V II, Kontakt 5, Superior Drummer, AIR, Absynth 5, Plectrum, CronoX, Albino3, RMV, cup of tea.
