meters wont light up in cue mix

meters wont light up in cue mix. this happened after i had uninstalled cue mix and all other motu drivers to help clear up some sync issues.

I reinstalled the drivers off of motu site.

everything routes fine and the sync issues were corrected. however, the meters in the cuemix software would not light up. there is no metering. I can change the levels with the faders in cuemix, but no metering. the output fader does meter, but none of the ins.

im using a 424 card. i have tried different interfaces with the same result... i tried a 192, a 2408 mkIII, and a 1224.

I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it again, but i got the same result.

is there a bug with the 424 cue mix thats on motu's site? Oh... and yes, i've tried a separate 424 card... same thing. Everything still meters fine in all my DAWs but not in cuemix.

Did you ever figure this problem out? I'm having this and a few other problem with mine. Before my meters where showing noise, so I switched card slots and it showed noise on the main out channel so I switched to a different interface port on the card and now I have the same problem as you, no meters at all.

i never did figure it out. i just use the meters in performer for now.

did you try reinstalling your motu drivers?

No I didn't try that. I origanally had a fireface 800 and that ran flawless till the day I uninstalled it. I was acctually going to do a clean install of everything. We will see what happens.... I'm getting a bad impression of motu.

i've worked with LOTS of different motu's and they've all been pretty solid. 99% of the time when there is a problem, its driver related.

are you on mac or pc? motu drivers are way stronger on mac than pc.

what unit are you using? what card?

I'm using a 1st generation G5 dual processor 1.8, Logic 7.2, 2408mk3 with the PCI-X 424 card, soon to be hooking up the TDIF connections to my IZ RADAR24. This is the reason for me getting the 2408, The Fireface 800 doesn't have any TDIF connections.
