Send Jack on 828mkiii

Does anyone know how to utilize the Send Jack(s) on the back of the 828MKiii? I cannot find a channel send in CueMix to utilize this feature - a way to send a signal to this jack via the software.

This might explain it (from MOTU.com description of 828 MkIII)

Each mic input has a corresponding rear panel send that allows you to insert outboard gear before the signal goes digital. Any input can be used as a return. (These two dedicated sends are not counted as outputs in the table below.)

Thanks, that was my next guess - that these are two direct outs for the mic channels. That'll teach me to speed read. : )

If I may second guess the engineers involved, it's kind of odd to install 2 hardware jack outputs and not make them more variably assignable in the software. The limitations on this kind of single-rack space are always hardware-related, not software. If I'd managed to cram 2 more outputs on the back of the unit, I would have made them more universal as far as usage.
