I'm new to recording at 192kHz sampling rates. I bought this unit because I had an 896 Original and I liked it a lot. It was a real work horse.
My question is- What is a typical senario for recording at 192kHz? If exporting these larger audio files to 44.1 16bit will the files still maintain there sound quality? I think you have to export them in this way to be able to be able to have wav or mp3 files. Honestly I'm really not sure what recording tecniques are going to be benificial or impractical. I upgraded to this machine because I liked the Cuemix console and be able to use an 8pr for a 16 track live mixing board if needed.
Thanks for your time and thoughts!
