OK, Here's a weird one....
I'm using a 828mk3 w/DP 6. Setting up for a session and checking connections from my mixer to the 828. I have signal running to all 8 analog ins, and I have DP set for direct hardware playthru. If i plug, say, a keyboard into input #5 and play it works fine AS LONG AS I don't have analog #7 record enabled. If I enable analog #7, suddenly the output from #5 changes- it drops in level and comes out of the right main channel only, even though I have it panned center. If I change the input monitoring to monitor thru effects, it works fine, but then of course you have latency. It also works fine if I change the output of track #7 to analog 1-2 as opposed to main out 1-2, but then of course I can't monitor track #7. This only seems to involve these 2 input/output combinations. I've tried trashing DP and MOTU prefs to no avail. Any ideas?

Have you checked Cuemix to make sure there isn't anything unmuted there? Also, reinstall the MOTU Universal Audio driver. Definitely strange...

Check cuemix.
Repeat above.
Also check your connections from the mixer to the 828.

Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang
