First post... So, hi guys. I searched the forum many times with different keywords and all, before I posted this.
I am pretty much in love with the 828mk3 (mkIII) and I have been planning to get it for awhile. My problem is that I am running a Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. I use Cubase 5 (32-bit) but in order for the MOTU to work, I need stable 64-bit drivers. I have read alot online about a lack of a low buffer-size (512 samples minimum, yuck) and also a lack of the MOTU dsp mix application working.
I currently use a M-Audio firewire 410, and am able to achieve <6 ms latency with it, but I am not happy with the interface. On the plus side, the 64-bit drivers are as stable as they need to be.
here's my spec, and I confirmed that the PCI firewire card I have utilizes a TI chipset.
Vista Home Premium 64 sp1
quad-core 2.83 gHz intel
4GB ram
an ever-decreasing amount of HD space (0.5TB)
Cubase 5.01
Live 7.03
thanks in advance to any replies!
