DP 5.13 missing all audio files
Hello everybody. First time poster here, long time resident of The Big Blue Lounge, now Mac OS X Audio.
Last week at band practice, I loaded up our first song ... and I noticed that the sequenced audio tracks we're using (16 bit / 44.1khz) were missing. I looked in the audio folder for the .sd2 tracks, and they were there ... but only one track was able to get pulled back into the song, the others couldn't be dragged back into it. Luckily, I had those tracks in .wav form in another folder, so I dragged them in and it worked.
Last night at band practice, we went through the whole set ... and everything was okay, until we wanted to go through the set again. Every single audio file was missing in every single DP track. All of the audio is missing from DP. It's not even there! No grayed out tracks, just blank space.
Luckily, I just finished my second album 2 weeks ago. *whew*
Does anybody have any idea as to why this would happen? I've been using DP without any problems whatsoever for the last 2 years ... and then this randomly happens. I'm extremely lucky that we weren't playing a show last night. I don't what in the hell I'm going to do if this happens on tour.
Can anybody help me out? Thanks so much.

Re: DP 5.13 missing all audio files
Just to update this:
I loaded up one of the songs just now, and this is really strange .... even tho it looks like everything is completely blank and that the tracks aren't even there ... there's audio playing. So, somehow the tracks are invisible, seemingly non-existent, but they're still playing????
Weird.

Check the view filters. That's gotten just about everyone.

That's it! You know, I've never messed with the view filter before .... and it's strange that this just randomly happened. Maybe it's some sort of bug?

Another victim. Welcome to the club.dead_red_eyes wrote:That's it! You know, I've never messed with the view filter before .... and it's strange that this just randomly happened. Maybe it's some sort of bug?
I think it's a key combo that does it, but maybe not. There should be a lock on the damn thing.

It must be a key combo, because I never use the view filter. That's hilarious that it's happened to a lot of people.

Thank goodness for bulletin boards, this was about to make me tear my hair out... same thing for me! Though in my case I did do something in the view select somewhat recently (though, I am pretty sure I didn't turn off soundbite view!).
