I have an UltraLite mk1 and have installed the new drivers. 3.6.8.1400
I see no meter activity at all in CueMix (although I hear everything)
When CueMix has focus (that is, I click on the user interface) all sound stops.
no meter activity with CueMix

Re: no meter activity with CueMix
I have a similar problem. I see no meter activity in CueMix when I send signal from my DAW (Sonar 7)
There appears to be no control over the output of the various busses. The master fader in CueMix has no effect on the output. There is no meter of audio clearly going through the outputs. I would expect there to be signal in the meter for the "Out" meter and none for the "mix" meter unless an input was routed to the buss.
I see no useful information about why CueMix seems to be missing this essential feature.

Re: no meter activity with CueMix
I would suggest you read the section of the PCI-424 System Manual regarding the operation of the Cuemix console. The Cuemix console is not designed to control the outputs of your DAW, but to mix inputs of your MOTU back to outputs.hendrikxix wrote:I have a similar problem. Re: no meter activity with CueMix
Thanks for the direction. I did thoroughly read through the directions and through forum posts on the topic. I am still just stunned that a professional audio interface doesn't allow you to route the signal from one output to a different output, or that there is no way to control the level coming out of the output. My Traveler allows you to mix output levels on the hardware mix interface because it can be used as a standalone mixer. I do understand that CueMix (Cue is the hint I guess) isn't designed to work with outputs at all, but it seems like a very big oversight. Maybe they need to make a new application called BussMix.
I was hoping that I was just a confused user and that I hadn't purchased an interface that is missing features that other interfaces have. The interfaces that I have used from M-Audio, PreSonus, Digi, Lynx and RME all enable output control. It's just pretty disappointing to discover that I can't do what I need to do. I am happy with the fact that the drivers seem stable, and the audio audio quality is great, especially after Black Lion modded the box.
I was really hoping not to have to buy a hardware surround monitor controller for mixing in 5.1 but I guess I will have to buy or make one. Oh well.
There's nothing like the smell and smoking flux and solder in the morning!

I've never missed that functionality as Sonar allows adjustment of levels to the physical outputs of the MOTU interface.hendrikxix wrote:I am still just stunned that a professional audio interface doesn't allow you to route the signal from one output to a different output, or that there is no way to control the level coming out of the output.
The other side of it is, having more than one application affecting your outputs can be a way to confuse the issue instead of the DAW maintaining complete control of levels. I understand it from both angles.
