Re: 828MKII Problems/Questions
I've fixed the SP2 issue. Normally this should fix everything (RME FIX and a pair of windows updates). The motu tech support offered me a 350$+shiping repair options. This is very funny considering that i could buy another 828 for that money on ebay.

Re: 828MKII Problems/Questions
I re-read my previous post and it is misleading, sorry about that. I intended that only to be an test, NOT a permanent solution. The last universally stable MOTU/Windows System was had with the MOTU mk1, or mk2 interfaces on a Windows SP1. No workarounds were requires, the drivers always worked just fine, even with multiple MOTU units all daisy chained up. Those were the good-old days. I stayed with a P4 2.4ghz system until last summer because it was so stable. I had to venture into the jungle when I found out that multi-cores aren't supported by SP1.apefist wrote:*snip* Did someone really suggest using a machine with SP1? Seriously? That counts as good advice? *snip*
And you are right that if the hardware and software can't keep up with the new OS's and computer hardware then it really is a sad state. And it is.
