ok so i just got and installed the updated drivers off the motu site so i could record on my new motu 8 pre since my old presonus firestudio wouldnt work with my 64bit windows computer i got and they didnt care at all about it...... and much to my supirze i try to record with it over cubase 4 with some drums and i was sooooo unbelive ably distorted i couldnt take it! like to the point it sounded like the lazer guns from starwars..... so i checked my levels and it wasnt even close to peeking so i reinstalled the driver to no succes..... i have no idea what to do here please any help at all would be appricieated.

which chipset on your firewire card. (recommended to only use Texas Instruments, aka TI)

I'm having similar issue, just posted, but actually can't get my 8pre to work at all in 64OS. Does the actual chipset actually makr a difference? I am using the intergarted firewire on my motherboard, maybe that's an issue?

hope it works. My only experience with 64 bit is from reports on the Sonar forum. Take a look(search) there if you need. registration is open if you have questions. People are open to answer. Don't forget the hardware forum too.
