EZ drummer Drag and Drop issue

Recently upgraded to DP 6.2 and have a problem dragging MIDI drum files from the EZ drummer browser to the Tracks window. Sometimes it work and sometimes not. The drum sounds often trigger sporadically when I'm attempting to drag. When I drag to the chunks window I get multiple instances of the file.
I've read in some posts of a Pro Tools issue with the mouse. I contacted MOTU techlink but so far (3 weeks and counting) they haven't read my submission.
Anyone else have this problem and or work around?

It's a known problem. If you do a search here, you'll find it. The prob is on DP's end. The workaround for me, is use ToonTrack solo, and drag your grooves from there. It works fine.

When you drag from ezdrummer make sure the record is disabled on the ezdrummer MIDI channel.

FYI, one thing that works (at least with Addictive Drums) until there is a fix, is to drag to the Mac desktop first which will create a MIDI file, then drag THAT onto the track/measure desired. One actual weird *benefit* of this is that you don't generate redundant meter events in the conductor track every time you drag and drop.

Do you mean EZPlayer? I don't think TT Solo plays MIDI files.

I just checked TT solo, and it plays the MIDI files included with the instance of whatever kit you choose within' TT solo. I mean, I think I'm sayin' this right. When I open TT solo, it asks me to choose a path (in my case EZ Drummer) at which point EZ drummer opens. All the MIDI grooves that are available within whatever EZ kit you choose are available for drag and drop into whatever platform( in my case DP 6.02). For me all it means is that I have to work outside of DP to drop the MIDI patterns in as opposed to havin' EZ drummer used as an instrument track within DP.

I hope I said this right. I do know that this workaround works fine for me. I do hope however MOTU gets a fix for this. It worked properly for me in 6.01

Sorry. I see what you're saying and you would be exactly right. I use TT Solo for Superior 2, as a stand alone app when I want to play drums, and forgot that EZDrummer allows you to also play the MIDI grooves in the EZD window. You can't do that in S2, and need EZPlayer to access the MIDI grooves.

If you open an instance of EZPlayer and Superior 2 in DP and again in TTSolo the work around operates in the same manner.

Hey...
Thanks for all the suggestions. TT Solo was the only one that worked. Disabling record did not work and I wasn't able to drag EZ files to the desktop but dragging from an instance of TT solo was successful. The other work around I've had success with and is helpful if you want to construct working drum tracks on the fly is by using EZplayer and mouse clicking on patterns while DP is recording in realtime. It's a bit like MIDI twister but can have some interesting results. A Live-like experience.

I also have this problem in DP 6.02 but not in DP 6.01.

Also, has anyone else lost EZ Drummer (mono)as option in list of available instrument tracks. I used to have both stereo and mono option in DP5.0. Only stereo in DP6.

I put my drum tracks together in DP6.01 then move on to DP6.02. Only thing is when I start a song with any thing but a drum track.
