6.0.2 bounce to disk error?

Post by Sonormuseum »

When trying to bounce a very small project to disk I get this error message no matter which option I use:

Mas, 1 error reported by core audio plugin/Core Audio support code: /Users/dpdev/AutoBuild/DP/DP6_02_Branch/MAS/Plugi [-35]

Has anyone else experienced this? This is my first project & bounce attempt since installing the 6.0.2 patch.

I'm going to reinstall 6.0.1 and see if that fixes it.

Thanks,

Scott

Did you install any 3rd party plugs in the time since your last successful bounce to disk? I ask this because I had a similar if not same area last night and it happened after I installed the Novation V Synth demo. I quit DP, removed the plug-in from the Components folder, and I was able to bounce to disk. If you have installed a third party plug recently, try disabling it in the Audio Plug-Ins preferences in DP, then restart MAS and try the bounce again. Good luck!

Yes I did about a month ago. I couldn't tell you the name of it - some sort of freeware metering plug that would show the EQ curve in realtime. Kinda handy if you're getting too much of something from a track. That's the only aftermarket plug I've added ever.
As it turns out I simply deleted the app and anything else I could find in the library that looked associated with MOTU or Digital Performer and reinstalled 6.0.1 yet again. It's working fine for the time being, though I did lose someof the sequences I'd previously added to that project. ??!! No biggie. Each sequence is no more than 2 minutes long and I can redo them easily enough.
I'll try reinstalling the .2 patch later.

Live and learn.

Was it the Blue Cat FreqAnalyst plug, Scott? I've experienced graphic glitches lately but installed a bunch of freeware at once, so at this stage I'm clueless as to the possible cause.

FWIW, the plug appears to be awesome for a freebie spectrum analyzer:

I had problems with this happening when I converted a DP5 project to DP6 and then tried to bounce. Didn't work. Even if I loaded a DP5 seq. into DP6. If you start from a new DP6 session then you won't have any bounce problems. I don't know if this applies to your specific situation.
