Ah... that explains it. Well done for experimentin', G.
Thank you for asking - I'm a bundle of nerves. 'Tis been chaotic today. 'Been cut off the 'net half a dozen times. There's a massive fire that seems no more than a couple o' kms away, and my dad has had to evacuate his house up the road in Belgrave due to an out-of-control, no doubt arsonist-instigated blaze. There's an urgent threat message for those in his immediate area. Kassonica's across town, probably 50 or so kms away, but if he can get high enough, I reckon he'd be able to see the ridiculously-thick plume.
These past few weeks have been almost too much to bear, so it's tricky to answer your question rationally, but one might (and indeed should) say that I'm AOK, thank you Gary. Take care man.
Try high doses of niacin. 100 mg for a day or two. Be prepared for hot flashes. SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR! Would you trust your doctor to answer why the Graphic Editor isn't showing controller #11?!!
Wow! had no idea they were still burnin. I'll look you up on google earth MM and see if there are pics. Not sure Google does live though. Crap! we have fires in SO Cal but not as bad as that. Save The Nest!!! Cheers. G
niacin? Really. Will give that a go myself. Thanks. A friend of mine talked about starting a band called the Niacin Bros. hehe
I had a double ear infection last summer. Started out as a simple cold, then an excruciating sore throat which then went to both my ears.
The pain was unbelievable one sleepless night. The upshot was I could barely hear for the best part of 2 months! No music made, couldn't even socialise because I just couldn't follow conversations.
It was awful. Antibiotics took care of it eventually but it does take a long time to get back full hearing. Of course with all that time on your hands you're starting to think...I'll never be right again.
One interesting side effect was that the sounds I could hear would change characteristics every few days. At one point everybody sounded like they were on helium...later on, my ears added distortion and strange overtones to voices and people sounded like aliens. It was very far out.....
Upshot is, don't take your ears for granted. Get them checked out if in doubt. Be particularly careful at the first signs of a cold.
