I noticed this too, and I prefer it the new way. I also noticed an intermittent problem when creating similar tracks with the keyboard shortcuts--sometimes, nothing would happen. After switching to a couple different window sets and clicking on some other tracks, it worked again. This happened several times.Dwetmaster wrote:From the PDF:

Interesting - in DP6.01 I think I did not get mono-to-stereo for them (in plugin dropdown). Just in case - have you selected the correct routing for mono-to-stereo? (below the preset name next to the channel meters?)timriley wrote:

Mono and stereo instances are all good...

Re: DP 6.02 is up
I just finished my first project from start to finish in 6.02. Composed, recorded, bounced to WAV and QuickTime. Here are some notes:
Positives:
1 - It does seem 'snappier' overall. I was working with all plugs in real time.
2 - *most* plugs worked well, including: Metric Halo Channel Strip, Kontakt 2, Omnisphere, RMX, Altiverb, Ozone 4, etc.
Negatives:
1 - Stillwell plugs don't work (can't turn the knobs). Worked in 6.01
2 - Still crashed a few times when tracking and mixing. Same as 6.01, maybe a few less crashes in 6.02
3 - Can not remove Eucon support from 'control surfaces'. DP crashes every time. New project, old project, doesn't matter. Worked in 6.01.
4 - The first time I instantiated the Waves Ultramaximizer, the entire computer seized up hard. No mouse, nothing. Had to power off. First time that has ever happened to me in DP.
5 - Bouncing to a Core WAV export crashed once. Successful all the other times. Never had this problem in 6.01.
6 - Sometimes, creating a Similar Track with the keyboard shortcuts doesn't work. Clicking around and changing Window Sets somehow fixes this (until it happens again).
7. The audio playback meter was pegging out when I was mixing. This was a smaller project than many, with fewer plugs. Maybe 25 stereo tracks, but not that much going on. Buffer at 1024 with a multiplier of 1 when mixing. (Using only one audio interface.)
8. Once, I had a strange problem where my MIDI outputs drop-down list started collecting blank entries. I would haft to scroll down forever to get to my actual MIDI devices to assign channels. I was able to save my project, open it back up, and I didn't see the problem again. We'll see if it happens next project.
I did not see the problem with RMX or other VI's not showing up in the Bundles window. That all worked fine, and I was able to use multi-outs. Maybe this is normal for MAS VI's, but BPM just shows DP's busses; the multi-outs don't show up in the Bundles window. But that's no big deal, it's easy enough to figure out the bus numbers I want to use.
Overall, I got through the session. Still way too many hassles. Wish it were a different story.

Again - please list your setup..PPC or Intel, Leopard or Tiger, etc. It's VERY important.
That aside - I'd like to know if anyone is running these plug-ins successfully in

Re: DP 6.02 is up
Wow, great that they finally changed that. That drove me crazy. When ever I dragged in template clipping, I would have to go through and get rid of all the "copy"Dwetmaster wrote:From the PDF:

YES!!!!!
added on to the VE3 plug names so that my MIDI tracks would work.

Re: DP 6.02 is up
Kontakt 2 does the same. Standalone is fine. DP 6 (all versions) not at all.vspiegel wrote:So is anyone able to use the NI plugins VIs like Intakt, Kompakt on a PPC? They work fine as standalones, but not in DP 6.02.
For the most part, it seems that this thread is boiling down to plug-in woes. Most are happy with 6.02's improved performance (or so it seems) and GUI opinions aside, only one person jumped ship. I was also thrilled to see a 'bugs fixed' list in the PDF.
Way to go MOTU! Now once the plug ins issues are resolved (when is 6.1 slated for release?) it'll one beastie program. Actually, it already is - we just want our own sounds and FX.

Any improvements with DP6.02 and the Euphonix MC Control issues?
Re: DP 6.02 is up
This is a Euphonix question. I know that Euphonix has had several recent updates of their Eucon driver. Get the latest DP Eucon driver from the Euphoonix web site.Simsy wrote:Any improvements with DP6.02 and the Euphonix MC Control issues?
