Some Issues I've seen so far with BPM using x64 Vista
Hey everyone,
I have seen some issues so far with BPM and Vista x64, don't worry you will be up an running in no time..
#1. You might be experiencing some problems with your iLok, yes I did too and MOTU is aware of the situation (they are fixing it as I type this).
#2.. For x64 Vista users when it comes time to install the DVDs of Sounds, you might be stumped when the manual and the Readme file both say "startup disk:\Program Files\MOTU\BPM\Plug-in\Sounds" ---Vista doesn't create this file.. so all you have to do is go to your program files (mine is in the C drive hence the startup disk name) click on MOTU then select BPM then create a file and name it sounds or plug-in then you can copy or drag your sounds from the DVD over..
Stay tuned..

I had the iLok issue as well. MOTU was great and resolved the issue very quickly.
So if you are launching BPM for the first time, and your iLok is inserted (and you installed the iLok drivers), and you get errors that the BPM ilok license isn't found, go to ilok.com and take a look at that iLok. Call MOTU and they will set it straight.
I hope for their sake the problem is limited and isn't with every copy that has shipped so far!

Amen to that...I hope for their sake the problem is limited and isn't with every copy that has shipped so far!
Anyways Motu tech support is excellent, unforunately Motu and myself couldn't solve this issue.. Until I contacted my sales rep.. which he is the shizz (you know what), he overnighted me a tested and new iLok.. Okay so tomorrow we will see..

Sorry homie,
Here is the final update.. I got overnighted the new iLok (at 8:00 this morning by UPS banging on the door). Popped it in and I've neglected my family for about 2 hours now..Works like a charm.. for those using Cakewalk Sonar 8 please copy the BPM.dll and BPMSampler.dll into your cakewalk vst folder, I'm loving this thing...
Another side note: I've notice that Sonar 8 is "thinking about sharing CPU with BPM as a plugin" I've noticed some serious spikes when I load BPM as a plug in, BPM wants to take all the cpu, I've adjusted my buffers to 1024 on my Ultralite mk3 an it works fine, but I will need to play around to get it alittle lower.
ALSO... FOR ALL YOU ROLAND MV Users out there.. so far I can control the BPM pads and transport using the MV8000 (this goes for the MV8800 also) I'm currently working on some more controls as soon as I get full control of the BPM features..

how?I can control the BPM transport
please explain.....
Re: Some Issues I've seen so far with BPM using x64 Vista
BPM uses standard MIDI CC to control its transport bar.
CC 117 is stop
CC 118 is play
CC 119 is record
Hope this helps.

I would advise you to create a BPM template on the MPD32 with the following MIDI keyrahquee wrote:not helpin me wit the mpd 32 but great for my mv8k!

41 49 51 46
