Digidesign started sort of relegating it's SDII format to legacy status from the time they make PT capable on PC platforms in addition to mac platforms - it's still a format choice, but not if you select "enforce mac/pc compatibiity" in PT
On the other hand, if one is going to possible find ones' project saved as DP 4 or 5 at some point, then if the audio files are not already SDII won't it require reformatting all the audio files in order to save in earlier formats?
