help with new pc, old pci-324 card mk2 2408 rig

Intel® Core™2 Duo processor E7300 (3MB L2, 2.66GHz, 1066 FSB)
operating sys
factory installed win xp pro 32 bit SP3
DAW
may upgrade to Sonar 8 Producer , currently have Cakewalk Sonar XL 2.0
Memory
3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 DIMMs
Video Cards
Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 edit
Sound Cards
Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio

everything works fine on my old puter, running win xp home edition SP2
with mk2 pci-324 w/audiowire ( not firewire ) to tascam dm24 with Cakewalk Sonar XL 2.0


Problem


when trying to install the mk2 software onto the new machine with the disk the mk2 came with, says it's not compatable with xp, but pretty sure I did on the old rig, unless I got the cumix console with the new drivers from MOTU, Is it all included in the driver download?
I don't know... help with that please.

anyway, after installing the latest drivers from MOTU for the pci-324 for xp, then installing the 324 card according to instructions, I get the "will not start code 10" issue, which I've been reading up on all over the place. to no avail !

so I removed everything and reinstalled about 6 times yesterday till I got fed up

the question I guess is...
is there a way to get this configuration to work with my new setup?

Or, do I need to get the new 424 card
and will that fit my new rig and run with my existing mk2 2408 w/audiowire to tascam dm24 setup?

have read a fix may be to access BIOS and set PnP to NO...
but I'm no puter wiz really, and not sure how to do that...

any help, with any of this, is greatly appreciated.

The PCI324 card doesn't work with most newer motherboards. I've only gotten it to work with South Bridges up to ICH7 from Intel. I had to get a 424 card....
