Hello,
I'd like to know if it is possible to connect 2 macbooks on 1 ultralite, and by the way the best modus operandi...
Thanks for any answers !
Best regards,

It's possible but it won't do anything that you might call useful. Only one computer at a time can control the interface.monstrejumo wrote:Hello,

Re: 2 macbooks on 1 ultralite ???
well thanks for your quick answer, but I don't get it ?it's possible but (...) Only one computer at a time can control the interface
do you mean that it is technically possible to plug 2 computers via 2 firewire cables, but that this won't be possible at the software/os level ?
in fact, what I'd like to do is to have one master macbook controlling the ultralite (outputting sound, recording, etc), but have a second macbook sending audio to the first one via the same ultralite thru the 2nd firewire input...
it would really be sooo great!
thanks a lot,
nm

Re: 2 macbooks on 1 ultralite ???
if you can interrupt the audio played by the second macbook to level with de first macbook it will work!
but not simultaneously!

Re: 2 macbooks on 1 ultralite ???
okay, I accept this fact.
ok, impossible just means... impossible !!!
so sad... I guess it's a big technical limitation MOTU was not able to change...
anyway thanks to both of you,
best regards
