(newbie alert)
assuming i buy DP (i'm on the verge) will i be able to use it to edit audio (not track, just edit) without my powerbook hooked up to my 828?
i am currently using Audio Desk and cannot seem to get it to communicate w/ my powerbooks sound card.

AudioDesk is hardware dependant (must have Motu gear)
Digital Performer is not.
In other words you can use it without any interface hooked up.
