Has anyone else had this crash in DP6.01?
What's happened to me on a few projects recently is as I have maybe about 10-15 audio tracks, I'm taking vocals, and often (about every 5 minutes or so), as soon as I finished recording a pass, and hit the space bar (or stop), DP crashes, and disappears right away. I have to save after every take, but it gets embarrassing as I try to explain to the client... one update away from stability.
This is my setup:
DP 6.01 on a G5 Quad (10.4.11), only audio tracks, trashed preferences, only have DP plugins activated (safe mode in the audio plugins preferences) and lots of RAM and hard drive space. Buffer is set at 1024, using an 828mk3 with direct hardware playthrough selected.
Is there something I'm missing, or is this a bug?

I started having lotsa crashes so one thing I did was to reboot the computer and DP and have little else open at the same time which has help quite a bit.

I'm not at the computer right now, but I think it's whatever the default setting would be. Thx.
EDIT: Work priority is set to high

Does it crash if you don't use spacebar to stop?

It has when I hit 0, or stopped with the mouse as well.

Just my 2 cents :
In such a case, I would first :
- repair permissions on my disks
- use diskwarrior to check files and headers on startup disk and project disk
- use diskwarrior to rebuild directories on startup disk and project disk
In case this would be of no help, I would second :
- move the project to another disk
- open an empty project and load in the chunks
- get a drink
- get ready for a long night
Hope this may help.

Had similar issues - try the following:
1. In DP preferences - Audio plug-ins - change both default and current to "virtual instruments in real-time"
2. Remove any non-MOTU components - HD, Library, Audio, Plug-ins, Components
