Machfive 1.2.3 on Leopard ?

Post by Patricio »

Hi fooks,

Does Machfive 1.2.3 runs on OSX 10.5.2 Leopard and does perform good ?

I'm doing a clean install of OSX10.5.2 on separate harddisk to check how it works with my Motu Gear, Pgrs and other music stuff.

It works just fine. I'm not sure why the other post would tell you otherwise.

The other post said that he wouldn't count on it to work... Why ?
The postee (or is it poster?) doesn't have M5-1.x to try it out. But if I would make a prediction on the subject, I wouldn't count on it ro run ok. Why ?
M5-1.2.x came out, what ? At least 2.5 years ago and was compatible with OS x 10.3.x. Since there was a Sh*tload of re-writes for 10.5, if I was to guess (which I did). I would guess that it shouldn't work.

I'm really amazed that M5-1 really works. There are soo many potential pitfalls that they seems to have avoided...

It's not working for me with DP 5.(latest version). It opens fine, but for some reason won't recognise the soundbanks and won't load any samples. I've tried rescanning and relinking to the soundbank folder, but still no joy. Any ideas?

Thanks.
