So many new members -- is DP6 winning converts?
I can't help but notice how many new members this forum has gained over the past couple of months. Unprecedented in my years on this forum. Usually it's a slow trickle of newbies, but it's like a flood right now.
I'm wondering if Digital Performer version 6 is being marketed more aggressively than previous versions, or if there are certain aspects of its new feature set that are winning new converts?
Maybe it's just coincidence, that as a new version comes out, people who are even new to DAW's give it a try.
Or maybe it's also evidence of some shift towards the Mac as Apple hooks people with iPhone etc. and they timidly migrate from Windows to Mac OS X via dual boot Intel Macs?

Logic crashed continually for me. Dp6, imo, is no longer incredibly ugly ad offers all the features I need and some I didn't realize I needed
So, hi, I'm new and that's why

Instability of the Big Blue Lounge is one factor.
Another factor is the switch from unicornation.com to motunation.com lost my login credentials. I used to be "Todzilla" but the new site won't recognize my old credentials and I must have used an old email address on initial signin.
So, yes, there may be new folks, but there are also new logins of old folks.
I don't expect DP6 to win converts until a few bug fix releases.

Actually, if I may make a correction, there has not been much of a problem at all with loss of credentials, and I've had very few reports of this. Many people have forgotten their passwords and if your email address is not current, then indeed you cannot receive a password reminder. Since I'd rather not have "orphaned" user accounts here, do you want me to rest the password for Todzilla and delete Mr Sensitive, or delete Todzilla? Let me know via PM. If I don't hear from you in a couple days, I'll delete Todzilla.MR.SENSITIVE wrote:Another factor is the switch from unicornation.com to motunation.com lost my login credentials.
