MOTU 828mk2 Firewire does not detect

My motu 828mk2 does not detect in my new x64 Windows XP PRO machine.. it also does not even detect in the original computer... it was working before.. why dont it work now?

have tried the Reeper modded drivers, and nothing happened when i connected the motu....

i am using fireware to connect the motu.. i have tested with another firewire device an windows see's that a device is connected and starts to find drivers for it. but with the Motu it does NOTHING...

the pc i built is BRAND NEW... its just crazy how it dont work.. also the original computer where the firewire was sitting does not work now.., i cant even explain why i doesnt work.

make sure that windows firewall is not blocking the 1394 port, its on by default.
Also disable "1394 network adapter" if there is one in your hardware profile.
That worked for me when I had a similar problem once.
Also, on my old 828mkii (with the bad display) my PC seemed to like one of the 1394 ports better than the other.
